Last November I presented VividQ’s advancements at Optica Frontiers In Optics and Laser Science.
Whilst creating the content for the presentation, I once again realised how far we’ve come as a company.
In the early days, we had a revolutionary algorithm which was capable of calculating Computer-Generated Holograms in real time. To demonstrate its operation, we screwed together some off-the shelf optics and bolted that contraption onto the tripod.
Fast forward some 5 years, VividQ is a 45-people strong business in the process of finalising our third headset prototype. The pictures of the two prototypes can be seen below. V1 (left) was first shown at AWE Europe 2018 and V2 (right) was unveiled at SPIE AR|VR|MR 2020.
Some breakthroughs we have made can really change the industry as we know it.
